THE CHILDREN

Bridge Learning Campus has been sending girls and boys to Avalon Camp since 1992.

Many of our pupils do not have a traditional summer holiday with their families, so this camp is a great opportunity for them to have a break. It allows the children to experience a different environment and interact with children and adults who they don’t know, which really builds confidence.

The children always return with some amazing stories and as you can imagine these memories will last a lifetime. Avalon Camp really makes a difference to the lives of our young people!”

Our children come from four schools in the Bristol areas of Hartcliffe and Withywood. They are chosen to participate in camps by the teachers/care and welfare officers as being children who would particularly benefit from the opportunity Avalon Camps offers.

The experience is invaluable to the children and they have a huge amount of fun during the week. Here are a few words from them:

Avalon Camp is a wonderful opportunity for pupils to enjoy themselves, make new friends and develop their confidence. It provides a relaxed and exciting environment for children to experience new things; things that they will always remember. Every pupil that has attended Avalon Camp returns full of excitement and they always ask to go again!
